Micro-meditations: small pauses that make a big difference!
You don’t need 30 minutes, a quiet room or a perfectly calm mind to meditate. Sometimes, the most powerful resets come from just a few intentional breaths.
Micro-meditations are brief moments – 30 seconds to 3 minutes – where you pause, notice,
and gently return to the present. These small practices help calm the nervous system, reduce
stress and bring clarity without disrupting your day.
Try this now:
Place one hand on your chest, inhale slowly through your nose for a count of 4. Exhale through
your mouth for 6. Repeat 3 times. That’s i t – you practiced a micro-meditation!
When done consistently these small pauses train your brain to slow down before overwhelming
feelings take over. Over time, they can improve emotional regulation, focus and overall well-being.
